MAGAZINE COVERS / JULY 2012
July ain’t my favorite month of the year in fashion. It is not because of its fatigue and gloomy ambience spreading from boring sales to stale editorials, but also its transition from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter season. Magazines are therefore not an exception. I have been clinging every newsstand to search for some inspiration but the efforts went in vain.
Even though I have spotted some covers featuring Fall/Winter 2012 but so far, there were not much of Fall/Winter 2012 editorials inside. Speaking of some good covers, I mean teams at Vogue Italy and Germany did quite an awesome job with models wearing some of Fall/Winter signature looks that include flowing chiffon dress and pantsuits adorned by matchy-matchy prints.
Meanwhile, Vogue Netherlands turns out to do quite an impressive job. Their three consecutive covers went viral lately. Keep up a good work, Vogue Netherlands.
Speaking of Vogue covers disappointment, I was a bit upset when spotting the drop-dead-beautiful Emma Stone on the July Cover which sort of reminded me of Vogue September 2011 Issue with supermodel-turns-bride, Kate Moss on the cover. Don’t you think so? Also, Vogue Australia went flat in their recent issues.
